1...2...3... Fight!

1...2...3... Fight!

Project Overview

Voice Actors wanted to help bring life to a couple of characters who will be on display during this year's ArtFight game! Having voices will add an entirely new way in which people can engage with the characters and experience their personalities!

All that is required of you are the three lines listed as part of the audition - no extra work will be needed! You will receive full credit, and a link to your social media will be advertised (please provide such as part of your submission). Unfortunately I cannot offer monetary compensation, but I will credit you in every way I can.

From his voice it should be evident that this character is laid back, relaxed, and confident. He should sound open and friendly, and be ready to laugh. His voice is somewhat quiet. Not without emotion, but amiable to the point where he sounds unbothered - except for in the last line. He is, however, very articulate and clearly of wealthy origin.

Additionally - given you are comfortable - if you could record the line 'Do you know who my father is?!' with as much spoiled brat energy as you can muster, it would be appreciated. This doesn't fit with the character's normal disposition but is somewhat of a running joke.

  • People do often tell me they thought I'd be taller. But I'm not short - I'm not! It's all to do with lifespan; I live longer, so I grow slower. I'm actually quite tall considering. (Joke-frustrated, laughing, banter between friends)

  • People say I have a certain 'charming spontaneity'. Usually it means they find me very difficult to deal with. (Playful, laughing)

  • If I had a gold piece for every time I'd been lassoed by a grandma, I'd have one too many fucking gold pieces! (Frustrated, confused - how did this even happen)

This character's voice borders on dry and dull - as if she has no personality about her. If I had to name an example, I'd say of Roz from Monsters Inc. She speaks somewhat in a monotone, and might sound vaguely annoyed.

  • I'm Mrs Primtrain. Did you not read the sign? Can you read? (Monotone)

  • Hi, welcome to Mrs and Mrs Primtrain's. What can I get you? (Monotone, unenthusiastic)

  • I'll knock five gold off your tab if you stop blabbering your big mouth about me and my wife. (Vaguely annoyed, over-it)

Feel free to try whatever you like here - as I have less of an idea of what this character's voice sounds like. The basic guidelines are as follows;

- She is in her 40s-50s

- She is quite whiny and dramatic

- She lives in the UK and her accent can be any found in that area

  • Feed the birds! Feed the birds! (Crazy lady vibes)

  • It's not that I think some people deserve it. You can justify it that way if you like, but really I just think it is what it is (Matter of fact)

  • Look up at the sky. Look at it. Imagine you're a bird. You could fly forever into that vast expanse, and you'd never find an end (Reverent)
