My name is Zoë Bates and I'm a third year student at HKU (University of the Arts Utrecht) in the Netherlands. Here I study Sound Design and Composition for media. I specialise in creating immersive and captivating environments and original music for games, films and commercials/trailers.

As a creator I am particularly interested in how sound enhances storytelling and emotion. In this age where creativity and humanity are often undervalued, my goal is to use sound to strengthen the human element in any narrative, making worlds feel alive and authentic. In my Portfolio you will find a reel with selected projects from the past year, featuring both sound design and music compositions. I work mainly with Logic Pro X and Pro Tools and greatly enjoy collaborating across disciplines to bring stories to life.
