Lord Shojo is the ruler of Azure City and Commander of the Sapphire Guard, an order of paladins created to protect Soon's gate. To avoid assassination from nobles wishing to seize power, he fakes senility by pretending to take orders from his cat, Mr. Scruffy. His natural sass is very apparent and usually directed at Roy.
(demanding) Guards! Summon the holy kitty litter! Mr. Scruffy demands poopsies!
Hey! Who's the wizened old man dispensing valuable plot points here? You? Didn't think so. Now pipe down!
