As the Red Samurai Ranger, Lauren Shiba followed her original timeline until the Shattered Grid event. Having returned to lead in Jayden's absence, Lauren leads the team when Lord Drakkon launches a surprise attack. They get separated, however, and Lauren ends up the only one not captured. Rangers from another dimension save her and they join their crusade. She has a crucial role in the events of Shattered Grid, helping the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers recruit other Rangers, developing a relashionship with Jason.

2. My father...was a Red Ranger. He was the only one able to perform a sealing ritual that would lock away the Nighlok leader. Master Xandred. But my father....died, midway throught performing it. The seal wasn't permanent. I grew up, trainning to complete his work. I only joined the other rangers when it was time to perform that ritual again.
