[Major Role] Thomas joined the Aegis at the same time that the player did and has spent his career at the player's side. He knows how to find food and shelter for himself in the wilderness, and is decent at tracking. He could tell you that "maybe two dozen orcs came through here within the last day or two", but not "17 orcs came through here 4 hours ago, one of whom was carrying a prisoner, another of which walked with a slight limp caused by an old battle wound". He does have an eye for detail... he can often recall specific and accurate details about something that happened even long after it has happened. Unfortunately for him, he's rather unimaginative and doesn't do a very good job of processing those details as the event occurs. For example, after an assassination that he was present for, he might remember exactly where the assassin was before he struck, what he looked like and was wearing, and even that the bulge of his weapon was visible under his jacket. But until the assassin actually struck and gave Thomas a reason to pay particular attention to the situation, Thomas probably wouldn't consciously register any of that, losing it with all the other "background noise". He's got a perpetual case of "Oh yeah, I should have seen that coming". It's not a terribly useful gift to have. Out of character, the player plans to use this skill to look back over past emails and allow Thomas to recollect incidents for which he was present in perfect detail, and maybe even ask for further elaboration about what a person was wearing or how they were acting at the time, should it ever become necessary (which it very well may not). Thomas is notoriously bad at holding his liquor. As such, he rarely if ever drinks. As far as personality goes, Thomas very much believes in doing whatever he needs to do to get the job done. Torturing a prisoner for information? So be it. You know, so long as it doesn't mean that he gets court martialed later on down the line. And even then, if the stakes are high enough, he might do it anyway. He is a man who generally will not show mercy to an enemy, expecting that no mercy would be granted to him were circumstances reversed. He believes highly in personal honor, and expects all others to value honor similarly.
