A smooth and young sounding voice with sharp delivery. Needs to be able to rough up the voice when showing emotions like frustration, bitterness or anger. If I had to pull actor voices as an example for the kind of voice type I am looking for (not saying do an impression of the actor just an example of the type of texture I would be looking for). Brina Palencia who was is the official English VA for her has a nice voice type. If I had to choose another actress with a bit of a different tone then that as an example Tabitha St. Germain would be an interesting choice.
Line 1: *sound a little bit condescending at first and maybe a little bit of sarcasm you can definitely scoff at the first line, then be defensive in the second in the second line try to come off that the other person had said something uncalled for. Third line sound like you are trying to get personal and show that persons faults right to their face, and then final line end with resentful and bitternes* So thats why you left? You have no right to want to protect us!. You know you try to pretend to care about others. But in the end you only care about yourself... So thats why you left? Line 2: *First line I would want a lower level of volume, its like a grit-teeth kind of frustration this is where your voice would sound a little rougher, you would a bit fiesty defnitely steaming up like you are ready to snap. The next line build it up and end with a yell on hero, not a huge yell but you are raising your voice in spite of the other person *Just who the hell do you think you are huh? What some kind of hero!?
Line 3: *For each one of the time she says why, she hits him. So I want you to do build up. Build up the aggression and frustration and sadness with each time you say why, and start with a lower volume, and increase the volume as you go through. The last why!? is kind of like stammer, see how in the video she stops suddenly from hitting him? There I want you to hold back and the aggression on the last why is seeping and turning into sadness. This part its like you have rougher texture of your voice from getting angry but because you are suddenly stopping it sounds like the rough texture is turning to a more cracked voice, signs of about to cry*Why, why, Why! Why!?* The just why is an express of depression and confusion and tell me is a sobbing demand *Just why... Tell me. *this the end part where the voice sounds the most sobbing and sad*Just why in the world did you have to change?
I like your pacing and you got the right kind of idea like almost there it just kind of sounds like you are trying to be quiet in a few them like control your volume. Like in a few them if I were to direct I want to you to inflect particular stuff with higher volume would that be alright? There is also a shouting part in the dub.
I could definitely increase the volume! I know I took it pretty quiet in a few places there. Shouting shouldn't be an issue with my mic.
Excellent! Will you are definitely pretty high up there for when it comes to choosing someone for the role. I heard a little bit of your other stuff I do like your pacing and the idea you give to the characters like making them sound like an actual person is refreshing to hear, and I salute you for that haha. But yeah I did reduce the deadline, so I am still going to wait it out a bit and wait for more auditions to come in but thank you very much for auditioning you got a really good chance!. Of course for anyone who does get cast I will send skype information so we can set up a directing/recording session.
