While I personally am not sure about Muffet having a French accent, I appreciate that your voice was more "I am a character who has an accent" rather than "hey, look ma, I have an accent!" This is not a negative aspect, per se - I care much more about how believable people are than what accent they have. Thanks for auditioning!
I understand! After playing the game a few times I've noticed what she says she may be French. But thank you for that, I know when people are just trying to exaggerate their accents. Are you saying my character wasn't believable? (I'm not upset I promise, I just want to try and make it better! Maybe even without the accent :b) Thank you again!
Oh no, I'm not saying that at all, though I get where that's coming from. When I say people aren't being believable, I usually mean they're either overacting or not in the moment. You were doing neither, but if you do want to try and make it better, I would go ever-so-slightly more playful in your delivery - somewhere between takes one and two. On second listen, there were also places where I thought the accent was slipping a little bit, though I could be mis-hearing. On the technical side of things you might look into improving, puffs of air hit the mic when you do the laugh. This seems to trip a lot of people up, though - it's exhaling air to make the "h" sound of every "hu", I think. Maybe back away from the mic/pop filter (if you have one) a little when you do the laugh? Some mics can be super sensitive about that kind of thing.
