Bassam is Shiri's estranged father. He left one day on some journey and never returned. 

Note: Bassam's portrait expression comes across as pretty gruff but I thought it was a good match discarding that, so I used it anyway. In reality Bassam is a kind-hearted and
           easy-going person.

  • (AMUSED) I don’t know. Shall we ask them?

  • [Narration] I am old now, and so very different from the man who began this journal all those years ago.
