      That's a note from my team. Essentially what they meant was that they would like to you think about how you would say these to someone's face. Screaming, Pointing, and Desiring Blood/Justice(1). Genuine praise and a genuine offer, almost as if you were greedy for someone else's sake(2). And rubbing it in, being smug, feeling like you've won, and generally just being a sore winner about it. Laughing at someone else's expense(3).

Naofumi Iwatani- The Hero of The Shield and owner of Raphtalia, Firo/Filo, and a lot of other slaves as the series progresses. He used to be a starry-eyed hopeful but after a series of betrayals, he has become angry, bitter, and self-assured in the fact the world does not deserve to be saved but, despite this, he will do his job as a hero in order to go home...So long as he gets some well-deserved vengeance along the way. Naofumi is 20 years old (in the anime and manga), rather dour, with bouts of intense anger, and occasionally makes dry/witty remarks. Proper comedic timing, vocal, and emotional control are needed.


We're looking for someone who can really sell cold, angry, and bitter but still has a spark of kindness and excitement when things break through that outer protective shell. There will be some intense yelling/screaming throughout the series, so be prepared to really get your shout on!
