For Guts we need a very specific kind of voice. He is deep and powerful, and also likely has a bit of a rasp to it. He's a man who once had a heart, but has now forgotten how to use it. The first 3 lines will be from the Golden Age arc, and the last 4 from post-golden age arcs. I would like there to be a very clear difference in the emotions/delivery between these two stages of his life. I recommend researching Guts thouroughly if you are unfamiliar with him. He's arguably one of the most neuanced characters in all of manga - and it's pretty much essential the VA cast for him here understands the very subtle changes and expressions in his behavior, as he doesn't like explaining his inner thoughts often.
If you are looking for a voice guide, then please listen to Marc Diraison's depiction of him in the 1997 anime and movie trilogy. While he sadly is only able to give reference to how Guts would sound in the Golden Age, it is still a good idea to imagine his performance, paired with the trauma that shapes who he is post-golden age.
Note that it is 100% required that you be able to scream for this role. I don't mean just louder talking or mock yelling, but blood curtling screams. If the noise this would make is an issue, than unfortunitely I would consider looking at other roles.
