Captain Zed is Zoey's superior officer in the Zombie chain of command. When we first meet him he's been reduced to nothing more than a head on a pike. Zed should have an authoritative voice, one that is almost humorously so (think the Soldier from Team Fortress 2). I do not need Zed to be an extremely old character, but his voice should not read as extremely young. I want a little grizzle, you know. 

  • (Upset with Zoey, yelling at her for not being there during an attack) Explain why my number two sergeant was AWOL, while a gaggle of fat-bellied, two-horned hell creatures was tearing out my lower intestines!

  • (Commanding, embarassed)  Hey! Get me a bigger stick. This one doesn’t seem manly enough. I feel like a strong breeze could blow me over.
