Shovel Knight's partner in Shovelry, Shield Knight carried the defense of the team, headstrong, and tenacious, while admittedly being reckless. Sentimental but pragmatic, she had disappeared during the journey to the Tower of Fate. Perhaps it was that recklessness...
The bravado of a knight is needed for Shield Knight's voice, but with the capability of being more gentle in tone. I'd say more...tomboy.
