Male. Early 20s.  Recurring role.  Childhood bully turned friend of Claude Wallace, after his former mark earned his respect with his leadership in basic training.  Once bitter rivals, the two are now inseparable best buddies.  Living for the thrill of combat as the “mad dog” of the squad, Raz is the most fearsome trooper in Squad E's ranks.  Competitive to a fault and an infamous womanizer.  While he isn't a chauvinist, he still lives life by The Three B's – boobs, beer, and bacon.  Crass and vulgar on the surface, there dwells a sense of honor and inner beauty beneath the beast.  A major character in VC4 but plays a minor role in several of the Squad Stories, mainly to bring additional flavor to the conversations.

Voice type: medium/medium-high.  Thrill seeker and simply can't control himself when there is glory to be won.  Though he believes he is God's gift to women, his flirting often results in getting a punch to the face.  Curses on occasion – if this is an issue, let me know with a comment on your audition.

NOTE:  Raz is a recurring character.  If you would like to return as this character, let us know by leaving a comment when submitting your audition.  Casting preference will be those who indicate interest in reprising their roles in future episodes.

  •  Hey, Eileen, you got a sec?  Need a hand over here!

  •  (another episode; wincing in pain, after losing an arm wrestling contest)  Gah!  Damn it, I lost again!  What's your win streak now?!

From a technical standpoint, definitely learn to use Audacity and it's noise reduction feature. It will help isolate your performance from the background noise (which sounds like the radio or some device playing music?). If at all possible, also try and find an area to record where background noise isn't an issue if you can't control it completely. As for the performance, definitely slow down and don't be afraid to change up your pacing for some vocal variety. Thanks for trying out :)

Hey mate, cheers for the feedback, i appreciate the effort. I didn't even realise there was background noise, but now that you mention it, i remember the missus had some music going in the next room. I'll work on keeping a more quiet background for future auditions. best of luck with your project, no hard feelings :)
