Cornelia, the titular Acorn Princess, is the main role of the film. Her determined and rebellious disposition has long been stamped out by the heavy expectations of her kingdom and, most of all, her overprotective father. As a result, she is often passive and vulnerable around the King, but is able to be herself around her best friend the Flower Prince. Cornelia has a secret plan to escape from her wedding with her friends the Flower Prince and Beetle. But, hopelessly infatuated by the Guard Captain Nutalia, her only regret is that she has yet to muster the courage to tell Nutalia her true feelings. Cornelia speaks with a soft, bashful voice, but is capable of a wide range of emotion. By the end, Cornelia has a tearful, dramatic “coming out” scene where she must confront her father and finally reveal the truth of why she can't go through with the wedding.

  • (Flustered, to Flower Prince) "How am I supposed to confess to Nutalia when she’s the coolest, strongest, prettiest guard captain in the entire kingdom, and I'm just... me..."

  • (Having just escaped, the three friends celebrate in mid-air. She rolls her eyes at Beetle) "Oh, your acting was horrible!"

  • (Injured, panicked, and pleading with her father, who is about to strike down the Beetle) "Father, wait! Please! You have to listen!"
