POSTCARDS - An Audiobook About First Dates And The People Who Go On Them
Saixiori for David Halloran
David is on the verge of adulthood, but he’s far from maturity.
He’s gone from hectic homelessness to a stable situation with his roommate (and ex-girlfriend) Nina, and now he must overcome his anxiety and trauma if he wants to keep a healthy relationship with any of the girls he may end up dating.
Wales, Rhode Island, is much smaller and much slower than Cezoram, Utah. For better and for worse.

For this role I’ll be looking for voice in a bit of a higher, more expressive register. Not squeaky or too young-sounding, but I want a good range.
[As pensive Narration. David doesn’t want to put Nina down with his excitement.]
I'm excited about the date tomorrow, but I don't want to tell her. I don't want to hold hands or hug or anything like that. Whatever there might have been before has changed in a beautiful way. I might miss it, but it's best for everyone if we let our past fall by the wayside.
[As anxious Dialogue. David’s trying not to look like a pushover, but he’s backed into a corner.]
You really can't do this to me! Of course I'll go along with it, but before we go in, please make an effort to understand how uncomfortable I am!
[As careful Dialogue. David’s scared to offend when asking this question, and backtracks a little in hesitation.]
If you knew about all of it by then... It's probably a selfish question, or a dumb one, but did you regret it? I remember you got sort of quiet afterwards.
