A cunning strategist , Ichimatsu Senryaku became the undefeated and worlds FIRST Checkers Grandmaster at an earlier age, and has won many Checker tournaments. He has studied the great checker grandmasters before him, and has applied and use everyone of his techniques to best everyone who has dared to challenge him. He sees himself as the benevolent ruler of the world, and he treats his friends like trusted advisors, and everyone else as an acolyte. However, due to the grand pedestal he put himself on, he has began to grow board of checkers. He wishes to seek a worthwhile foe, but feels like there is no one left to face him. As such, he has began to lose interest of Checkers, and his title. He decided to go to Hopes Peak to find a worth foe, seeing it as his last chance.
