Noctis’ friend and Shield. Brother of Iris Amicitia. Gladiolus belongs to a family that has long stood alongside the royal family as brothers and bodyguards. His father is King Regis’ Shield and so, too, is Gladio Prince Noctis’ Shield. He has little patience for reluctance and reticence, and is thus sometimes short with Noct when he seems not to be trying. He can be blunt and harsh, but only because of his own whole-hearted devotion to his duty. While he might be sharp with others, he is always his own worst critic.
