Noctis’ friend and adviser. Ignis has grown up alongside Noctis and Reina, training to be Noctis’ future Royal Adviser from the age of six. While Reina often remained aloof, he became something of a cross between a brother and a mother for Noctis; he is the one who scolds Noct for not eating his vegetables and tries to push him to take a more active part in the affairs of the kingdom. In spite of this, he is fully devoted to Noctis and would do anything to protect him. He is highly intelligent and well-educated, knowledgeable in countless subjects from government to combat and strategy. At heart, Ignis is a perfectionist; though his calm, quiet exterior may not suggest it, he has trouble coping when situations don’t go as planned. He prefers to be in control—not at the forefront, but behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.
