Virgil is one of the Sanders Sides to former Viner and YouTube comedian Thomas Sanders. As an embodiment of one of Thomas' personality traits, Virgil represents his Anxiety and is known to be pessimistic and easily irritated, especially on occasions when the other Sanders Sides clash with him. Although rare, he does display moments of kindness and wisdom when he finds it appropriate to do so.

We're looking for a voice that's close to Thomas' natural voice while displaying Virgil's attributes mentioned above accurately. Tone is essential with this role.

  • Whatever. I'm at least glad I can offer some help, even if sometimes I can be... hard to deal with.

  • (hisses like a provoked cat) ... I do that when I start reaching my limit with stupid questions.

  • One thing I feel like I'm not is reckless. I'm not impartial... and frankly, not very friendly. I'm a problem identifier, but not a problem solver. And then there is what everyone... expects me to be. But I don't feel like an ambitious, cunning... leader. I fel more like... a play-it-safe, evasive, worrier. So what does this mean?

Hi there! I'm glad to see you trying for the part of Virgil; unfortunately there are some problems with your audio. The attempt was very nice and your cat hiss was excellent; but from the start your voice was muffled and there were very distinct popping sounds. The pacing was also a bit slower than what's to be expected and your noise reduction is a bit too heavy. But, despite those things the way you've made your tone flat and lethargic perfectly suits Virgil; I love it. If you try again, keeping those things in mind you'll definitely be considered for the part. One last word of advice; get a pop filter and those popping sounds will be no more. They're life savers.

Hi, thank you for the feed back, I will take that into consideration. There is one thing though, I can't get a pop filter as the microphone I use is a gaming headset mic so the pops are inevitable.
