I like this; nice work! I'm going to hijack your audition to add context for that first line (which you did great without), because I honestly did not remember what it was from, at first: The guards show up AFTER she has already dealt with an assassination attempt on the king (though they were presumably just outside the door). They say "What--?" and she is understandably pissed at them.

The protagonist; Princess of Lucis. On the surface, Reina is everything a princess ought to be: refined, educated, and an excellent leader. It is a commonly held belief in the kingdom that she should have been made heir to the throne. At her heart, she loves her family and her kingdom and, like any good sister, enjoys tormenting her twin brother. Underneath, the picture is less cheerful: she has lived her life in her brother’s shadow, believing (and, indeed, seeing) that their father loves him more; she has spent her childhood and adolescence desperately striving to prove herself to her father and find her place in the world, which has led her to give up everything else in her life in pursuit of his attention and love. At the time of this story, she has all but decided that her whole purpose in life is to take care of her king and father as his health fades.
