Backstory: Lu Mei (Yume Zhou) grew up in China with her mother and dedicated gymnastic WSU coach father. Her mother, before she moved to Japan, always told her to use common sense, and Yume stuck to that saying during a test or confronting a teacher about their bad teaching skills. She was an overall B student though, and dedicated all of her free-time to gymnastics, hoping to be accepted into WSU and maybe make her way as an Olympic gymnast. However, Yume's dreams would meet a drastic end due to a bicycle accident that broke her right leg. She would recover, but her leg would be much weaker. Chitose (Yume's mother) brought Yume to Japan to comfort her and take her mind off of the incident. Yume picked up the piano again, finding music to be a type of comfort, one of which Chitose fully supported. Yume also used dancing as an alternative to gymnastics since it allowed her to move constantly without same pressure. She became a backup dancer for a performance group, and this piqued her interest in idols. This made her decide to audition for an idol career at I MY ME. After practicing hard she left the auditions proudly, and when the company company called her, Yume immediately started her training. Soon after they assigned her to an up-and-coming group named Interlunium.
