Red is very much the quintessential hero; brave, kind, and outgoing. He is capable of feats of agility, and is always willing to help others, with or without the help of his Pokémon.

Red is an exceptional Pokemon battler, able to utilize his Pokemon's moves and natural talents in unique ways. Red's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokemon battling, earning the title of the "Fighter".
