Koontz is the walking definition of "toxic masculinity." He talks a big talk and thinks of himself as the greatest hunter/predator on the planet, unequaled... except by one: velociraptors. He's goal on Isla Sorna is to face down a raptor and come out as the victor, because then, he believes, he can truly be THE greatest predator on the planet. He butts heads VERY frequently with other members of the group, especially Graham—who's a jokester, and Koontz doesn't have time for jokes—and Burbridge—because the latter doesn't have the patience to deal with Koontz' temperaments.
Will he get to confront a velociraptor? And if so... will he be the victor? Is all his talk just that?
"(darkly) Second to me there is only one predator that can give me a real challenge. ONLY... one... Do you know what that might be? And please consider your answer before you spew it out, because if you get it wrong..."
"(quiet and darkly) You just better hope that Burbridge doesn't leave the group again. Because if he does... It'll be "Trivia, Round Two."
"(softly/darkly) Consider that a lesson, Graham... (a little louder, so everyone else can hear) Consider that a lesson for all of you. Next time I might just wait a little longer to pull the trigger. (chuckles darkly) I may just keep my hand off the trigger altogether."
Try to annunciate more clearly and avoid any slurring because it breaks the immersion of the character.
