Frederic is a vampire huntsman and noble who has decided it is his duty and delight to be Vivien's escort and guide through the kingdom of Luneau. He is pompous, gaudy, and more than a little proud of his nation and their vampiric rule. He was made a vampire at a young age. Though it does not say exactly how old he is it suggests he is "a lean baritone yet unused to manhood." I would approximate around 17-18 when he was turned.
"You speak with fish as well? Mademoiselle, your skills are without number." [marveling]
"Do you despise the lion as well? Do you take offense at the fact it will not eat grain but instead prefers the meat of the lamb?" [pouty]
"Preservation, mademoiselle. You never know when a species might go extinct. Ixalan is such a savage, unforgiving place."
