Backstory: Kanon Mitsuboshi grew up in a middle class family who loved her very much. One day while they were driving, her car crashed, but no one was injured badly. This incident traumatized Kanon to the point where she would be more secretive and kept to herself. She would hang around kids older than her trying to gain their praise but instead received bullying. Kanon believed that the bullying gave her a personality that she needed and started to curse at home while her grades dropped. When Kanon's parents talked to her about it, she told them the car crash made her realize that she should live her life the way she wants it and without regret. After the explanation, her parents went along with her act for a few more years and gave her a guitar hoping that the outlet would serve as a less violent way to express herself. When her grades dropped so low to the point she didn't even bother to show up at school, Kanon's parents threatened her that if she kept it up then she could just live with the older kids she idolized. This fake threat shook Kanon out of her personality and she began to pick up her act, transferring schools to cut ties with her bad influences and studying hard. When she performed at an open mic show, an I MY ME employee scouting for members saw her potential and offered her a position. Her parents approved and she became an idol.
