Backstory: Kazue Ono came into a loving family, and although they were on the lower side of the financial spectrum, they still tried to raise her and her older brother to the best of their ability. Since they were unable to buy her many toys, she would play outside or at the park and watch the anthills, sometimes even feeding them and protecting them from other children. Her parents felt bad about giving Kazue her brother's old clothing, so they set aside some money and bought her an ant farm. Kazue was so happy that she would spend all of her time in her room tending to the ants, and this caused her appearance to become paler and taller. She was known as the "zombie" of her school, but after watching zombie movies with her brother, she came to like the  zombies (possibly because of all the bugs surrounding them.) Around the same time she became a horror fan, Kazue's financial situation was substantially improved when her father was offered the position of producer at a new idol company called I MY ME. He had to move into the city to work, but they were able to move with him later on. While the family was transporting her insect cases into the house, one of them broke, causing her mother to ban insects from the house. Kazue's father decided to let her keep her bugs but at the idol dormitory, also hoping that having other girls around Kazue would influence her to have a more girlish style. Some rumors started that there was a handsome ghost always entering one of the dorm rooms which sent bad vibes, but this instead intrigued the new idol group Interlunium.
