Jukka Jäger is the father of Alastair; he comes from a family of highly respected vampire slayers & passed down all his teachings to his eldest son, Simon, the favourite of his children.  When Jukka received word that his grandfather had suddenly fallen ill, he decided to move his family to his grandfather's house to take care of him in his time of need but on the long way over there drama seemed to be building up & after arriving it only seemed to get worse. Jukka was forced to kill his grandfather after he had gotten himself bitten by a vampire, protecting Jukka's youngest son, Alastair, after that Jukka bickered with his wife nonstop 'till the 2 eventually divorced & shortly after she died. Not able to handle the stress of it all, Jukka fled, leaving his 2 sons behind, a choice he'd come to regret for MANY years of his life.
