Gilbert is 15. He's Serge's roomate. He's incredibly beautiful and attractive, and this causes the attentions of almost everyone in the Academy. He's a "damned" figure, tragically beautiful and aware of the power he can gain on others thorugh sex. He's fascinating, seductive and used to getting what he wants. But at the same time, he's unable to trully love anyone (except his uncle, Auguste) and having an healthy relationship with anyone, having always been neglected and treated merely as a sexual object, not as a human being. This is the base of all his quarrels with Serge and at the same time the origin of his attraction with the boy, so different from anyone he knows. He can be extremely seductive and bossy, but at the same time he's incredibly fragile and is easily broken by rejection. Anyone who auditions for this role should be inspired, I think, from figures like Rimbaud and know that the author of the manga was inspired, for this character, by Tadzio, the little boy from "Death in Venice". Keep in mind that this character also has some of the few "sexual" scenes of the OAV, so you should be prepared to go with it.

I'd like a feminine tone, so I think a female may be more apt for this role, but I'm accepting males as well. Please remember you have to be seductive and attractive, but in the last line try to be as sad and fragile as you can be. Also, he has a very loud, cheeerful laughter, so please include a recording of a laughter you think would suit him.
