The protagonist, he's a really smart kid who's only just learning that there's more to life than looking out for just yourself.

He runs the gamut of emotions in these three scenes, so I want plenty of emoting here. Don't over do it, but be clear.

  • <sarcastic> Oh great! I get to see your nerd lab...

  • <increasingly angry> It doesn't matter! Tadashi's gone! <anger gone, only grief> Tadashi's... gone.

  • <excited> Baymax, you scanned him?!? Yes! HAHA! I-I can use the data from your scan to find him!

Thanks for auditioning! I really enjoyed your line one - I could practically hear the eyeroll. ;) That said, I have plenty of notes. First of all, you need a better mic - or to at least run noise removal after recording. That's a little hard to get past, and I'm afraid that (aside from noise removal, which isn't foolproof and sometimes leaves artifacts) there are no easy fixes. Secondly, careful with the lines you're reading - his name is "Tadashi" with a 'd' - not "Takashi" with a 'k'. Third, you're clearly just reading lines. I'm not getting any emotions here, you know? I mean, you literally say 'ha ha'. That's supposed to be a laugh - you gotta be happy, excited, exuberant! And lastly, in an audition like this I highly recommend watching the source videos. If you watch it before you record, it gives you a good baseline for what the director is probably looking for - like in the third line, it'll give you an idea of the energy I'm going for. That said, sometimes I don't like listening to the source material b/c it affects my audition. The compromise is record once, then listen, then record again tweaking your performance to find the best of both worlds. I hope this helps!

Is a iphone 4 mic good. If yes I can replace it by that. Also I could give it more emotions. I taught the voice that I did was horrible. But if you say you need more emotion and a better mic I can do that.

Generally, if you wanna do voicework, you have to have at least a USB mic or even maybe a gaming headset mic (although those tend to be pretty brutal). You could try with the iphone mic, but I can't guarantee anything.
