[CLOSED] Brave New World: The Final Chapter
Muppet for The Inheritance
Age: (30 to 34) (Technically he's younger but we want to keep the voice in line with all of the other Fallout actors.)
FORMULA:
If you are a younger actor, then an acceptable tone would be Baritone or medium-deep. Will not accept any higher pitched younger sounding actors for this character.
If you are an older actor and your voice sounds older, a medium-high pitch is fine.
Acceptable tone ranges: Medium, Medium-high, Medium-low
Acceptable accents: North-American
Occupation: Pawn shop owner
Background:
An affable fellow, Miguel is the last resort for people down on their luck, buying what they offer at reasonable prices and selling them for a profit. His pawn shop has been in the family for at least three generations. In fact, Miguel took over the business when his grandfather lost his life to the Fiends. He has since built up an impressive collection of odds and ends.
The death of his grandfather has resulted in Miguel having a deep hatred for the Fiends, just as much as the other residents hold a grudge against the vicious raider gang, for the fear of the next potential attack.
SOUND SIGNATURE: Carlos Valdez in "The Flash"
Well, it’s funny you’d ask, stranger….
My grandfather….
He was a good man…He took care of me when ma and pa passed away….
...had a great heart….always willing to lend a helping hand..
About a few years back, he was helping with an expansion…Farmers wanted more land to work with so he went about propping fences….
...........The whole day was a blur…..but I still remember….
I was gathering supplies ………….when I heard a scream…..
Thought it was my imagination….
...It just felt…unreal.
...........I heard screaming......................Shouting.
...........Laughing.
......Gunshots.
(teeth clenched) (hate) (pain) It was the Fiends….
Not sure how…..…or what was goin' on…..but they came through the town…..............
My grandfather was lying there…............slumped over by the road….
We tried to get him to the local clinic..but….. it was too late……
[*****][M] The acting, inflection, tone and voice is actually really well done for this character. Only issue is the mic. It sounds hazy and fuzzy. There's no reverb, echo, pop, hiss, sibilance, voice-in-can, etc. But that voice is...fuzzy. Not as crystal clear....Almost as if there's too much covering the mic.
Oh thanks. Odd though, I don't usually get called up on my audio quality, but I ca see what you mean. I think it may be my pop filter, I was holding it differently this time with my mic in a different position.
Gonna cast ya. I like how you read the script exactly as I had it in mind. Most people got confused with some of the lines in the middle but you got it pat-down.
