Darunia (DA-rew-nee-uh) is the Goron Chieftain of the Gorons that live in Goron City. While he may appear to be rough and rigid, Darunia is a cheerful, passionate and gentle leader. He becomes protective and sturdy when the Goron's Ruby, a Spiritual Stone protected by the Gorons, is in danger from Ganondorf. At first, he comes off as passive and harsh, but once he hears Saria's Song from Link, Darunia is energetic and cheerful. (He really likes good music). He is also grants Link the respect and title of Sworn Brother after helping him take down King Dodongo.

Character traits should include: Rash, rough, harsh (at first), gentle, passionate, strong, a leader

  • What the heck? Who are you?! When I heard the song of the Royal Family, I expected their messenger had arrived, but... you're just a little kid! Has Darunia, the big boss of the Gorons, really lost so much status to be treated like this by his Sworn Brother, the King? Now, I'm REALLY angry!

  • Kid, I like you! How's about you and I become Sworn Brothers?! No, there's no big ceremony involved! Just take this as a token of our friendship! Brother!

  • Thank you, Brother! I really appreciate what you did. I thank you on behalf of the entire Goron race! You turned out to be a real man, just as I thought you would!

Not a bad auditon. Interesting idea to give him some kind of accent.

Thanks so much! Figured it'd make him feel more foreign to Link, like all the Gorons have some accent.

Not sure how I feel with him having a country accent, but that's a personal opinion. Your voice is great nonetheless. I especially love how I can mentally see his movements as some lines are said, like a little arm bump as he says "Like I thought you would." That takes some skill!
