The head chief of the Goron City living in Death Mountain. A tough and often rude leader, he was initially hesitant about enlisting an outside like Link to help them, but eventually comes to accept Link as a "brother". Darunia is eventually revealed to be the Sage of Fire, and grants Link the Fire Medallion he needs to defeat Ganondorf.
