Mana Aida is the student council president of her school and loves helping people no matter how busy she may get. Its for this exact reason Rikka becomes the secretary to help Mana. Mana first got her powers not only after she lectured a Selfishness but when she met Joe who called her "My Sweet Heart." After Cure Sword was captured by a Selfishness due to her saving Mana, Mana transforms into a pretty cure just like Joe predicted. Her first attack is also called "From me to you, My Sweet Heart!" Which is ironic as Joe mentions Sweet Heart earlier on.
