Amalthus is the driver of Malos, and is partly to blame for the Aegis war.  He is perceived to be a kind, holy man who only wishes for peace, but is actually a power seeking tyrant.  The yet to be praetor is very manipulative and sneaky, covering his tracks very well.  He has a deep, calm voice for a majority of the game until the end where he loses his mind to his own overwhelming power.
