Character Bio, Chikako Otsuki (Chee-Kah-Koh Ott-Sue-Key)

Chikako has had few friends since a young age, instead spending most of her time playing board games, as a young child, she began to play Go, and her love for the game developed from simple hobby, to obsession with its logical intricacy, soon playing the game competitively against others, beating all who played against her, she began to rise through the ranks rapidly becoming a child prodigy and one of the highest ranked players internationally.

Chikako has a habit of judging others based on their capability and ability to apply logic and reason, as well as their ability to play Go. It is often said that her personality and demeanour change when she is playing Go.

Whilst her slight build may lull people into thinking she is a timid soul, she is not afraid to stand up for herself or others, often voicing her opinions welcome or not. This can quite often alienate her from those around her.

A master strategist, Chikako would be best played with a medium-high to high female voice. Her typical demeanour is rather calm and collected, calmly judging others based on the logic of their action and their ability to play Go, as mentioned in her bio. Furthermore, her tendency to speak rather slowly and in proverbs and other flowery language makes her come across as much older than her actual age, making her seem both wise and obstinate at the same time. However, she is not static, and is said to change to a much different personality when playing Go, so the actress chosen must be able to play both sides of Chikako in a natural way.
