Simon is the main character of this musical: a closeted gay high-schooler trying to work out how his identity fits into his family. his school life, and his relationship with the anonymous Blue. Simon should be a relatable character: well-meaning, cheerful, and tries to help his friends out whenever he can, even if he ends up lying to them.  He can be naive, not picking up on the things right in front of his nose, and a bit of a hopeless romantic when it comes to guessing Blue's identity.

As a leading role, you'll need a strong singing voice, and the ability to show a wide range of emotions convincingly.
