Unpaid
cast offsite

AGE:  38 to 50

Tone:  Medium to medium low

Demeanor: friendly

Reason for change:

I am revoicing this character because he's a relatively minor character but he's voiced by Liam O'Brian. Liam O'Brian voiced a vast amount of characters in Fallout: New Vegas which created a "clone complex" as too many characters had his voice. I'm removing more of his characters from Fallout: New Vegas to add to immersion.

Character bio:

Information about Knight is here:

Caution:

Please note that this character is homosexual but he only has a few lines where he flirts with the Main Character. Overall, I want him to sound like a soldier, someone who represents strength.

  • You could speak to Ranger Jackson. He might have something for you.

Me, I'm Knight - Major Knight. I've been stuck here dealing with these caravans for ages now, but somebody's gotta do it.

Well, having a sheriff who was a convict is better than no sheriff at all... and if he has the qualifications... ..........all right, hand it over.

(He's homosexual but he wants to keep it a secret)

This isn't the Republic. Oddly enough, Legion's a little more forgiving about... friendships. Out here, it's not as accepted. Not that I mind being friends, it's just being open about it in the Outpost... well, I have to work here.

If you need something repaired... let me know, I can sign the work order. As long as caps change hands, I can put them back in yours.

Room reverb and echo.

That was fast, thanks for the feedback, I know my setup's not perfect at the moment, I'm currently in the process of figuring out what my best options are for eliminating reverb and such, I'm also thinking about investing in better speakers to easier catch these issues.

You don't necessarily need speakers. A good set of studio monitor headphones such as the ATH-M50X would be great. For audio reverb, best to record in a quiet confined location like a closet as opposed to a wide open room or a bathroom, etc. Closets are usually a safe bet.

I'm aware of the closet thing, but I have a desktop and no laptop so getting my mic to reach is part of the issue, it's doable but I'd have to mess around with my setup a good bit, or I could just get a laptop, so yeah that's what I mean when I say I'm figuring out what "my" best options are for eliminating reverb, I'm not a complete newb at this stuff, only mostly :p But I do appreciate the advice, thanks.

Sure thing. There are a few options. Option 1 is to get a dynamic mic such as the ATR 2100. It isolates all sound around you and only focuses on your voice. Buy it and if you don't like it, return it. But it's a great mic for room control. Option 2 is to move your setup or get a laptop and then record in a quieter location Option 3 which is surprisingly effective albeit ghetto..but VERY effective is a blanket over the head. Not joking.

Ahah! Hahaha! Thank you for that tip about the blanket, once you said it I remembered hearing about it somewhere but I'd certainly never tried it, well I tried it just now and I definitely noticed an improvement, I still have some kinks to work out but I might seriously go with this, at least for the next while :p
