Snoke appears in a flashback in the first chapter to explain the plot. While he is typically quite smug, arrogant, and passionate in the movies, in this story he is more of a kind mentor to Kylo. So, kind of similar to the voice in the movies, but much more relaxed and pensive. Remember to try multiple takes/inflections for each sample line-- show your range and be creative!
