Satoru is a Soul Reaper, a servant whose duties are to collect the souls of the dead for Kumiko. Satoru is extremely loyal to Kumiko as she saved him as a human and granted his final wish. He is known by all Yokai and Soul Reapers as Kumiko's number one servant and also the first Soul Reaper to ever be created. He dislikes other servants being close to Kumiko and completely disapproves of her going to the human world. 

  • Miss. Kumiko. We’re all set to leave.

  • Yes. I’m afraid so. [Gives Nobuko an evil look.] 

  • I don’t know what you’re talking about. Anyway. Miss. Kumiko we really need to leave.
