Mari was the idol agency boss's niece and was able to get into the same idol group as Sehui because of that. She never practices during their rehearsals or does anything to help the group. Mari is always seen lying on the couch and looking on her phone. She steals the center position from Sehui which makes her bitter towards Mari and the two get into a fight right before they die in the car accident. Even after death and their memories are taken from them, the two still hold negative feelings for each other.

However, as they get to know each other better while at Refund High School, they slowly start to warm up to each other.

Please note, Mari does swear sometimes, but all curse words will be bleeped out as that's how they appear in the webtoon. One of those instances is in audition line #3. In the comic, it is censored as X but she really means to say bitch. For the audition, you can go ahead and say either one.
