[CLOSED] Thief: The Dark Project by Dracomies
LeoVA for Garrett
Payment will be sent once your audition is chosen. Please have a Paypal account. I'm looking for someone who sounds like a rogue or a thief. He needs to sound intelligent, cunning, crafty and manipulative. I've included a video attached to this project that shows the previous voice-actor and how he reprises the role of Garrett. I'm looking for someone who can do the voice of Garrett but you don't have to sound exactly like him. What's more important to me is that you are able to consistently hold the voice. So I'm not looking for an impersonator but rather someone who "gets" the personality that I'm looking for.
Important: You do not have to sound like Garrett (Stephen Russell). Rather, I want you to get a feel for the way he speaks, his personality...What's more important is that you sound cunning, manipulative...something more akin to a rogue or a thief.
Accent: North American.
Age: Anywhere from 30 to 45
Tone: Medium, Medium Low (Baritone)
(This role will expand and I will include further details after you are chosen)
(Cunning)
I'd rather not have to do this job but Cutty is a reliable fence, and I don't appreciate the Hammerites abducting him....and he still owes me money for the Bafford job.
(Walks into a throne room in a house)
"It's a throne room. How pretentious can you get?
(Talking business) (Cunning)
I've always equated feelings with getting caught: they both get in the way of my money. Unfortunately, not everyone is as committed to their work as I am.
(Suspicious)"I thought the Keepers were supposed to keep the peace...or at least observe the lack of it. They're not doing their job. So...what are they doing?"
Great mic quality and the acting works but it's not Garrett. Also your voice has a SM7B sort of feel to it. It works for radio broadcasts and professional interviews, but that boominess doesn't quite work in videogames where I want the audio to sound like a person directly in front of me, without boominess. Hard to explain. The audio is clear but has a professional radio feel to it, as opposed to a natural tone.
Thanks for the feedback! I am not using a Shure SM7B, but I can now definitely see what you mean regarding the boominess. In any case, it was fun to audition for the role. I appreciate your time listening to my audition as well as your comments! =)
