She killed him in self defense, earning her the reputation of a man-slayer. Coupled with graying hair and growing age, Magdelene could not find another man willing to marry her. To make a living, she embraced her dark reputation by doing mercenary work. Appears to have a history with the protagonist, Roland Gallant.
