She nursed him to health, and they fell in love with one another. When Lilly's mother found out, she was too hurt by losing her daughter and cursed her to forget about her lover, and wander the world alone. Fortunately, a kind elven priestess helped her to regain her memories, and thus spawned a race that wait in the forest until its time to seek out their beloved. They know when its time, because they remember everything about them as the curse lifts.
