Margaret Lynch resents the term “logician”. One hears the word and thinks of the word “straightforward” or “procedural”. This is not how Lynch works in the slightest. She’s intuitive at the best of times and impulsive at the worst. For better or worse, she leads with her heart. She’s motivated by a unique blend of altruism, curiosity, and wanderlust.
My methods have been described as "erratic" and "spontaneous" but I've always been a fan of the term "holistic". I am a holistic thinker. Rarely do I rely on petty things like probability or rationale. I like to consider each problem as being detectable in the vast web of the whole.
It's not about wanting to investigate. In fact, I bet you'll investigate- even if you don't mean to. Like it or not, you and I are both intrinsically connected to the heart of this trial. And, while I would appreciate it if you made a conscious effort to help me, it's not like I can force your hand.
