JBH for Leonardo
Leonardo:
(Relieved) *sighes* I'm relieved that you're safe Anna. I feared the worst for you and the others. (Serious tone, protective) They're here, whatever you do, don't .... move.
(Being gracious) Thank you my lady, I haven't had a home cooked meal in a long time. *sniffs the air* I smell something really good, smells like a cake.
(Attacking an enemy) EyahhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHH!!!! (Screams) Get out of here! RUN!! (Angry) You'll never touch them, you will be dead before the hat hits the ground. (Slashing with claws) Hyah! Hyah! Errrrrrrrahhh! *growls* (Screams in pain) AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
Thank you for auditioning for us JBH. We totally understand having normalization and some EQ for the screams. It's hard to get a good crisp scream without peaking the mic. As far as your voice goes, it does have a bit of the natural deep tone we're looking for. However, your delivery of the lines didn't make us feel that sense of urgency that should be present during the first line. The second line also seemed to drag just a tad. If you were in a conversation with someone and you smelled a delicious pie or pizza, you wouldn't sniff for 3 and half seconds. LOL!
Thanks for the feedback. And I'm willing to take direction. The biggest take away that I've received is that you'd like me to pick up the pacing of my delivery. Now that you're familiar with the quality of my voice, would you like me to upload a retake or try another role? I'm here to help your production, thanks.
It was more than just the pacing, also the sense of urgency and imminent danger wasn't palpable in your voice in the first line. It honestly sounded like you were reading from a script. However, that doesn't mean you should go crazy and scream the line. It just needs to sound present and real. Ummm, you might also want to try Hansel Vanhurst, or maybe as an extra?
Thank you, good luck in your production.
