The main character of this story after the timeskips in childhood. This character will go through one of the most changes in the series as he eventually develops the reputation, courage, and strength to be a pirate captain.
Golden (teen): (talking to British Captain while being drafted into the merchant navy) I love that, and maybe someday to captain my own vessel and sail to new, strange lands.
Golden (teen): (in fear of La Buse holding a gun) Alright.....alright.....I will tell you. Just don't shoot. It's best to attack on the windward side of the vessel so . . . (interrupted angrily by La Buse)
Golden (teen): (after becoming defiant against La Buse and some crazy antics, he is about to walk the plank but in good humour) Oh, so you are dropping us off at your treasure island? Do you mind dropping your treasure here as well?
