Katie is a doctor. She is married to Marc and Emery Riggs-Jorgan, and a parent to Cassie and Callum.
She is a little cold, but she's trying to be warmer. Her professionalism just creeps into her voice even with her family sometimes. Despite this, she has a very emotional moment in the show, and her actor will need to be able to achieve that with her character.
Ideally we would have the option to work with the actor over Skype or Discord for some rehearsals before finalizing performances.
Please note - while the character is Australian, we would much rather have a non-Australian accent for them than a fake Australian one. We are an Australian production team and do not wish to comb through inauthentic accents. If you are not Australian, that is fine - just speak in your normal accent. You'll still be considered.
People of colour are strongly encouraged to audition.
[FACTUALLY] "Everyone has acclimatized to the altered ship air and gravity, so there shouldn't be any problems transitioning to our destination environment."
[FACTUALLY] "She hasn't even been gone a month and you're already planning the rest of our deaths!"
[EMOTIONALLY DEVASTATED, RAMBLING] "They’re gone Al, they’re all gone! How... [SOB] how am I supposed to... I haven’t [SOB]... all of them, they’re all gone, I’m [SOB]... I’m all that's here and... [TRAILS OFF]"
