Lead role. Mio is a soft-spoken idol who has been agreeable for so long she can’t find what she wants. Voice-acting range: 18-25 sounding. You’ll perform two registers.
“Approved Mio”: sweet, even, laughs and pauses placed perfectly. Pleasant and slightly hollow.
“Real Mio”: clumsy, quick, a little ugly, no polish. Rare and precious.
The best performances make us feel the gap between the two. Heavy on narration and interiority. The horror comes from politeness, not screaming. If you’re unsure whether to go bigger, go smaller and sweeter. Around [NUMBER] lines, with alternate takes for branching endings. Deliver as separate WAVs, dry and unprocessed.
