BRUTUS "IRONJAW" HALE — Cannoneer, The Scarlet Tempest

Age range: Mid-30s (character is 35)

Voice type: Deep, booming — big laugh, bigger presence

Character: Brutus handles the ship's cannons with unmatched skill. Loud, fearless, and powerful, with a booming laugh that carries across the deck even mid-battle. Rough around the edges, but fiercely protective of the crew underneath it all.

Voice direction: Big, physical energy — someone who sounds like he takes up space in a room (or a battle) without trying. Should still land quieter, sincere beats when it matters.

The sides they read from:

  • "Loaded and ready! Say the word, Captain — I'll give 'em something to remember us by!"

  • "You want me to check the hull for damage while we're at it?" — (beat, softer) "...Everyone's accounted for, by the way. Thought you'd want to know."
