Nikolai can be different from Malachi.

Instead of being primarily protective, he's the investigator.

He's the one who refuses to accept that Kai is simply gone.

While Malachi is focused on protecting whoever remains, Nikolai starts looking for answers.

The sides they read from:

  • “Something was done to her. I know it. I just need to find out what.”

  • “That isn't some random hybrid. That's Kaylani.”

  • “We spent years looking for you. I refuse to believe we found you just to lose you again.”
